The ELEKTRO project has been developed with the aim of designing a graphic identity for an electronic music event. The proposal presented is called LOCOBEAT, a festival created to pay tribute to the iconic group Locomía, recovering its extravagant essence and its cultural impact in the 80s.

A festival that revives the essence of the 80s

LOCOBEAT is conceived as a festival remember, whose purpose is to transport attendees to the vibrant atmosphere of the 80s. To this end, an innovative show has been designed in which an electronic music orchestra, accompanied by a DJ, will reinterpret the most representative songs of the group. This combination seeks to merge classic elements with current trends, achieving a balance that keeps alive the essence of Locomía while adapting to contemporary visual and musical codes.

Locomía as aesthetic and conceptual inspiration

The group Locomía was known for its ability to integrate techno-pop with a neo-baroque chic aesthetic, characterized by the use of fans, voluminous shoulder pads and theatrical staging. This concept has served as the central inspiration for the development of the project, which aims to transfer this stylistic fusion to the field of graphic design.

Through the visual identity of the festival, we have worked on the creation of a powerful and representative image that reflects not only the spirit of the group, but also its relevance in the history of music and fashion. We have sought a design that captures the extravagance and sophistication that defined Locomía, adapting it to a visual language that connects with today's audience without losing its original essence.
