As a proposal in this social design project, we have created the CORDIS clinic "aroma of memories". This consists of a space where personalized perfumes are made as a treatment for people with Alzheimer's disease.

It has been proven that memory and smell are related. Through a smell, a feeling can be triggered that encompasses a memory of our life. The creation of personalized fragrances begins with an individual study of the patient and a neurological examination conducted by professionals, which will result in a treatment for the user, a perfume in which fragrances that remind him of moments of his life stand out. Thus, when the treatment is applied, the patient will exercise the memory unconsciously, working that neurological part damaged by the disease.

The Cordis clinic is based on neuroarchitecture, since it is a science that tries to consider how the appearance of an environment can influence emotions and memory. Factors such as lighting, color, size, etc. must be taken into account. All of these are elements that can create a more emotionally beneficial environment for people.

The clinic is divided into six zones and forms a route designed especially for our clients. The floor plan is planned so that both the patient and their companions have a fluid circulation area and the hexagonal shape as a symbol of balance and harmony.

The name CORDIS, comes from the word recuerdos, which according to its etymology means "re" = memories and "cordis" = heart. That is to say, it would come to mean "to go through the heart again". This meaning is linked to our desire that our patients get to the heart of their memories.
