"To be a firefighter takes more than studying a few books and learning certain technical skills; you have to have the heart of a lion and the courage of a warrior."
In 2021, the bicentennial of the Grenada Fire Department will be celebrated and since last year our students have been working collaboratively to get everything ready. From the creation of the brand image for the occasion, to the design of the museum that the park itself houses.
The organization and design of the space was carried out by the 3rd year students in the Official Degree in Interior Design during the 2017/2018 academic year. This layout was inherited by the current 4th year students in Graphic Design, who were in charge of signage.
The design is based on Flat Design, a trend that is more than consolidated today and with which it is intended to visually help the realization of the tour. According to Paula Moreno and Irene Corbacho 'our intention has been to provide a clear and easy reading that explains the history and function of the firefighters of Granada, so we decided to use the Futura typography and a color palette that was consistent with this intention'.
The final proposals for each zone are as follows:
- Red Zone: Historical tour of the fire department.
- Yellow Zone: Exhibition of the different costumes used.
- Blue Zone: Location of the most important fires in Granada.
