A Teaching Innovation Project (PiD) is proposed based on the advice and support to students of 4th year of Product Design who intend to undertake brand level or want to position themselves as designers in order to find work for others.
The main objective of this project is to help students to create their digital footprint and promote entrepreneurial culture through the tools of the subject.
The reason for this project is to solve the shortcomings that future designers have on issues related to business: subsidies, grants, logistics, first steps, etc.. Besides, although they are the "digital generation" they do not take into account the benefit or harm that their digital footprint can do to their professional future.
The project has been developed for 3 and a half months and the measurement of success has been through the creation and maintenance of their social networks, as well as the development of a business plan with Business Model Canva and Lean Canva.
We have worked with those students who had the intention of starting a business or saw it as viable in the future. We have created/improved their digital footprint, so that by the end of the internship and their TFG they had created their digital identity as designers.
