This is a teaching innovation project that arose with the intention of taking advantage of the existing relationship between Sculpture and Drawing as artistic disciplines, and that goes hand in hand with the very nature of Design as a discipline that combines the work and study of various technical teachings and artistic and cultural disciplines.
The idea, on the part of the author, is to help students to improve their ability to understand space and volume in drawing, taking advantage of their training and experience in Fine Arts. Certain changes will be incorporated into the syllabus of the subject in order to incorporate knowledge of space, volume and lighting more comprehensively.
Drawing shares with sculpture the ability to transform an idea into something tangible, and those who improve in drawing also improve in sculpture and vice versa. This ability can benefit design students, just as it does in higher art studies.
