For the realization of the collection of accessories we have started from the Prêt à Couture collection "Memento Mori", whose name comes from the Latin "remember that you will die, referring to the transience of life, conveying the message of living the moment, enjoy the journey and be the person you want to be.

Development of Memento Mori

Ten spring summer 2022 haute couture accessories have been developed, for the realization of the accessories we have been inspired by the Egyptian, Roman and Baroque periods. We have designed independent necklaces, little bags with ruffles, large dangling earrings, bracelets that attach to the fingers, black funeral veils and brooches with dangling straps. The colors to be used are predominantly bright gold, matte black, fuchsia pink, neon green and bright orange.

We will find elements such as embroidered flowers, anatomical hearts and the skeleton. As for the materials to be used we will find hanging golden chains, fabrics such as organza or lace, precious stones, wires and resin. The garment that has been made, is composed of a halter-neck jumpsuit with bright orange bloomers and wide orange semi-transparent puffy patches with golden chains on the arms. In addition, it also features a single-breasted corset in deep black.

A reinvented accessory

The accessory that has been made is inspired by the detachable collars of the baroque, where it has been reinvented giving them greater length, it has been made with twill in matte black color, where it has been incorporated in the part of the back the skeleton with the shape of the column with diamond chains in gold remembering that we are human, at the same time it has been embroidered with vegetable elements to represent how every day we are blooming and living moments. Emerald green gemstones have been added to the edge of the cape, an element used to represent that material things have no value. Finally, golden yellow bangs have been added to represent the moments of our life that fall away and we will never live again.
