My visit to Frederick University in Cyprus: Félix Guerrero, ESADA
My experience in Cyprus has been simply amazing. Taking full advantage of my participation in the enriching Erasmus TCA in the city of Paphos focused on practical mobilities, I had the opportunity to visit one of our partner schools in Cyprus: Frederick University.
From the moment I set foot in their magnificent facilities at their main campus in Nicosia, the capital, I was completely impressed. They not only have state-of-the-art classrooms but even have a gym of their own for all their students! This visit made me appreciate the quality of institutions associated with Erasmus+ even more.
During my stay, I had the pleasure of meeting with the Erasmus+ coordinator of this school, Varnavas Mytilineos, who had visited ESADA a few years ago. We had the opportunity to plan new projects and Erasmus mobilities. This collaboration promises a bright future for our students.
But my journey wasn't limited to academics. Exploring Cyprus was an unforgettable adventure, especially thanks to the summer-like weather I enjoyed at the end of October, with temperatures reaching nearly 30 degrees. From the paradisiacal beaches of Agia Napa to Petra tou Romiou, the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite according to mythology, every corner of this island had something unique to offer.
Additionally, the duality of Nicosia, the only city in the world divided into two parts, left me speechless. I also had time to visit other cities like Larnaca and the modern Limassol, with numerous skyscrapers along the beachfront, where they have another campus.
In summary, if you're looking for an enriching experience in an exceptional school and a unique destination filled with beauty, delicious cuisine, and exceptional weather, I highly recommend considering Cyprus. Furthermore, if you're an animal lover, you'll enjoy it even more, as it's known as the "island of cats" due to having more cats than residents. You won't want to miss out on this adventure!
